We began Wine Storage Partners to serve the needs of fine wine collectors and connoisseurs as well as local wine stores and distributors. Our wine storage facilities are designed to meet the perfect conditions for storing and aging fine wine.
Our wine storage facilities maintain 56 degrees and 55-65 percent humidity. The professionally engineered refrigeration system is alarmed and notifies us if there is a change in the climate. Our wine storage lockers are designed to be safe and secure while allowing air flow. No natural light enters the facility. The LED cellar lighting uses motion-sensing technology to minimize light exposure and emits almost no ultraviolet light.
Wine Storage Lockers
We offer a variety of storage sizes from 12 case lockers to walk-ins for hundreds of cases, for both individual and commercial uses. Our wine lockers are designed with the customer in mind: wide doors and only 2 cases deep. In most lockers, half of your cases will be immediately accessible when you open the door. Our typical 12 case locker is 3 cases wide, 2 cases deep, and 2 cases high. We offer custom-built wood racks and tube racks.
State-of-the-art security, access control, and off-site video monitoring and recording systems. Our cameras cover the key areas and access points in and around each facility. All videos can be accessed remotely, are stored safely, and reviewed regularly. Each facilty is equipped with multiple alarm systems keying on different factors. The electronic access control systems monitor, log, and notify upon every entry into the facility. All of these features come together to provide a secure wine storage environment.
Wine Storage Partners was founded by Derek Clotfelter and Harry Spilman. Derek and Harry both grew up in Mill Valley and attended Tamalpais High School near the flagship facility, Wine Storage Sausalito. As the popularity of fine wine grows Derek and Harry decided to expand beyond Chateau 55, the wine storage facility they started, own, and manage in San Diego. With many years of experience in wine storage, construction, and operations management it was easy for them to create the highest quality wine storage facilities possible.
After locating great sites for new facilities in Sausalito and Mission Viejo we invested in state-of-the-art security systems and industrial refrigeration technology. These wine storage facilities outperform home cellars in quality, cost, and energy-efficiency while raising the bar among the current professional wine storage providers in Marin County, San Francisco, and Orange County. Wine Storage Partners provides brand name quality and excellence while providing mom and pop service.
